I do not drink at all anymore. I was unemployed about 20 years ago and it was one less thing I had to spend money on. When I got another job I decided that I didn't need it anymore. I wish I could say that everything that was crappy about my life suddenly got better and that my workouts got better but alas , that was not the case. The only time I miss it is when I go on vacation and see Geary's IPA in the grocery store.

Our family has a sip multiple times a week cause we want to use up all the alcohol gifted to us be friends because not consuming what you have means it’s wasted

When I got married we had it at my wife's home. My best friend was the bartender. We bought all kinds of booze and we had a lot of it left over. Every holiday we went over there and we always made a joke about we were still drinking the booze we bought for our wedding. This went on for 20 years.
