I had a neighbor teach me a little bit about it... like the difference between a light, medium, or dark roast. I found I prefer a medium roast with cream and honey. A bit of nutmeg isn't bad either. I always grind beans right before the brew. Then I just follow the directions on the package. Kona coffee is my preferred bean.
I think it should be added that a truly good cup of coffee hinges not just on the taste, but on the company of those you share it with. A good coffee buddy makes the worst coffee taste better.
I work in the restaurant industry. I have worked at several coffee shops and restaurants over the years. I can make great coffee. I also know who to make cappuccino's and latte's. The ironic thing is I don't even like coffee at all and I have never worked at a Starbucks.
But don't feel so bad. It isn't as easy as it looks to make coffee. A lot of people don't know who to make good coffee. There is an art and a science to it. You will figure it out.

Yeah you've a lot of development and work still to do and it's not easy being dedicated in getting it right. Maybe get a good trainer to help you.
As for the coffee, get a proper coffee machine kiddo.

Yes, I've made a few cups for myself at home. My mom showed me how to do it. I also had a Keurig in college and made some coffee for myself when I dormed.
I think so. I learned from my wife who was a coffee lover. I didn't even drink coffee really until I met her. But she taught me how to make a nice cup of black coffee.

Nope! I’ve always just bought coffee, never tried to make it at home. And I would have no idea how to operate a coffee machine.

More importantly what happened to the cat in photo one? It disappeared in the second. Ghost pussy.
This question seems about anything but coffee, but since it is, I don't drink coffee.

I have a Keurig with a wi-fi setting that reads a QR code on the pod to brew the cup to the exact specifications of the coffee company. It was expensive to get, but oh man is it worth it.
