My friend mentioned to this guy, a week ago, that she wanted to wear a dress but she hasn't gotten the opportunity. He then messaged her a week later to set up a time for them to meet up and he made the comment "wear a sexy dress" which she got really upset about and she went off on him saying that he is being disrespectful. He then told her "I remembered you saying you wanted to wear a dress" and she, again, chewed him out about him not telling her what she can and can't wear and that she no longer wants to meet up with him. Any thoughts on this situation? I have pointed out the fact that she did say she wanted to wear a dress and that he most likely made thy comment jokingly. She is questioning if she took the situation too seriously but she still feels as if he disrespected her.
I can see why she got upset, no one likes being told what to where to a date, it has that sprinkle of controlling coming off. Us guys can often say the wrong things, especially when dating is concerned, we believe that we're saying the right words but it's how we say them is usually the problem factor.

That's a temper tantrum and tbh why is he putting up with it? He just wanted he to look good and feel good. She really should probably apologize
I would be weirded out too if a guy I just started seeing told me to wear a sexy dress. Not always but it can be a red flag if a guy tells you what to wear etc
Yeah I can see your point lol. But in this instance it didn't seem like he was being controlling though. If that's the case then she gave him the red flag in my opinion. Hi by the way lol
I can understand why she got upset, its weird to say "wear a sexy dress" if you just starzed dating and way to commanding. But he probably didn't mean it in a rude way I don't know its hard to say because I dont know these people
Ye but she said she wanted to wear a dress, he was flirting with her setting up the atmosphere so she might of overreacted but I understand why, but I don’t think that was red flag worthy
