This makes me think of the almost comical conflict between a guy wanting to solve the spoken problem and the girl just wanting to have a conversation.
Yes exactly. It also reminds me of book 'Men are from Mars, women are from Venus'. We women just want to be heard while men just want to fix things.
That looks like a good book, I'll have to read it
Thank you for mho.

At this point I just think they were made to talk, and make men talk lmao. As irritating as it can be to get an earful and then some from any woman, nothing would work without women talking about it first. As Nia Vardalos once said, "The man may be the head of the household. But the woman is the neck, and she can turn the head whichever way she pleases." Lol.
Yeah that expression is an old one. It far predates Vardalos. I've also heard a softer version, which is more about the joint effort and roles men and women play, but I do think this interpretation makes more sense.
Naw I think women typically like helping people or like having the image of helping people. So they naturally lean into nursing and social services. Just the same men want to step by step accomplish things and use their skills to get things done as opposed to sitting down with someone to talk for 40 minutes. Not all men or women, but typically.
Lol I say maybe to not force an idea on anyone and just to get them to feel comfortable evaluating a different idea. The scientific literature is very clear on why you see the phenomenon you pointed out and there is rigorous evolutionary literature on why men have an intrest in things and why women have an intrest in people. You seem to already agree with that tho from your own observations and thoughts
You say maybe because it's an argumentative tactic to get someone to think from the other end of their proposition. It's not for the sake of comfort, it's conditioning to an idea, there is a slight difference. Also there is rigorous secular literature and far more of it also compounding reason and fact for why we are created as we are, but just because it is written somewhere and recognized by some cabinet doesn't mean shit in the face of truth. You can side reference literature without even giving a name any day to anyone and unless they were you or knew what you were specifically referring to your literally just saying that to feel yourself up. Lastly my own observations and thoughts are not derived from or inspired by any of the literature you don't care to mention, because they are my own. I didn't plagerize them from some writer like others tend to do
I'm quiet too, so I understand how it's easy to be missed when there are other louder people around. I like quiet people, I know they are thinking or listening.
