Invious in a sense that women love owning other's stuffs or wishing these things to be taken away from a person. Also I noticed that they at least can't hide that feeling that others can notice that in their behavior. I don't generalise cuz I know many pure hearted eomen but thus us how I sometimes think.
I think materialism is in both genders. Many women like purses and clothes and are taught owning multiple cars and motorbikes is dumb and a waste of money since you can only use one at a time. Men think having multiple purses is dumb because you can only use one at a time. I think men like vehicles and computers and things that have measurable "high specs." Women in their materialism go for "percentage of luxury fabrics" or "body measurements" or % of discount from original price. I think women are more okay with "showing envy" as a feeling, and men may just come up with "logical reasons to discredit" other men's purchases. Like oh, well, those specs aren't as good blah blah. The xyz model is actually better but he went mainstream. I think the envy is still there, else you'd be talking about your own life and not someone else's.
Asker, I haven't noticed this. I really don't have any insights or thoughts on the topic. But it is interesting, what kitty said. Sounds about right.
