What's it going to take to convince you that there are still plenty of decent women out there? What you see around you is not good. Society looks dog-eat-dog, only the tough (and rich) survive. Maybe so. Can't exactly argue otherwise. The cynicism lives deeply in me too (though I don't think it's entirely a temperament thing; I have been observing for a very long time.) But I've got my ear buds in, my Radiohead on, finished my coffee, and I've got some juice in me. Let's do this.
I read your mytake. You know there was no point inviting me to it, and you and I have exhausted that topic. But here's the thing - you are a dog with a bone, Unit. Tenacious D. Do you have OCD? Your mind is a steel trap. 'a quick and agile mind.' But I've always thought that definition is wrong. It should be about someone who seizes an idea, latches on, and never lets go. Dogged. This can be done to benefit, or detriment, right?
You may want me to answer to give you some hope. But I know that you will either externally, or in your mind, refute what I say. But you want to believe. Maybe. You believe that I believe, at least. You want to believe that there could be others who think like me. There are. There are, Unit.
Let's be frank, be real. Everyone wants stability. Even the raccoons that live in my neighbourhood and make their nightly rounds on the docked boats want stability. So you need to stop saying this is a female-only preoccupation. You want some excitement, some thrills... no, actually, let's say some pleasures. (I like your extracurricular activity too sometimes. The second, obviously not the first.) And appreciate the simple pleasures too (basking in the sun, with the waves gently lapping in the distance.)
Your practical limitations are legitimate. No question, and I get that. How can you get ahead when the system is not built for that, does not want to allow it. Only you can figure out that riddle. Keep plugging, keep plowing, save and bury the nuts. But when you one day get out of that, the system will be different, the culture will be different, the opportunities will be different, and the women will be different. I assure you. You are right now bound in your thinking by the life you see around you. That is perfectly understandable. But you're smarter than that, Unit. Don't be a steel. It is still possible that one day you will find that woman to spend the lazy day with, doing nothing more than talking, making love, indulging in things you both love, music, food, and making love some more, until you have to rise and go earn your cold, hard cash.
You are losing hope about love, I know. The movies are not lying. They are a wish, a hope, an ideal, a reminder that things just might work out. You cannot quantify love, but it is more valuable than all the world's gold.
I'm not going to answer your question. You already know my answer. I'd make a list, but you've already heard it before. But it's not really about those specific things anyway. It's about a longing for connection. I still see it in people. I feel it. All of my best female friends have never chosen or been with their man for money. None of them. Maybe it's geography. Maybe it's generational. Maybe it's the f'd up internet culture and objectification of people as nothing more than height, a 1-10, and the dollar signs and letters behind their name. But I really don't think so, Unit. We look for people we are compatible with. We want to laugh, and muse, and cry together sometimes, and everything is fluid, and both give to each other freely. Things are going to shit, I do sometimes think this as well, but it's not as dark as you think. Not yet.

In the region where I am it is not exactly the poverty level that of Thailand but it is following suit towards Thailand level poverty. Where I am most jobs pay almost the same. So like unless you work as part of an international company, that outsourced their labor for those lucky ones, that will be paid above their local average wages, you're part of the "modern day peasants". Even the women work here like they have little choice.

Anyway I am drifting off topic. It is true, that such environments shape us the way we are. The desperation of money can cloud and override these other aspects in our lives. It's like nobody cares about love anymore, people just marry, pop kids, divorce, fight and repeat those cycles (because of tradition). In this region the childfree ideology is a brand new lifestyle concept, that only very few have adopted. I personally know only one pair, who adopted it. They're also unmarried.

Long ago I have accepted it, that I will die loveless. From the moment I arrived where I still am the point of no return was been crossed. 16 years.

When I hear or see of stories of women being in love with men, who aren't rich and are not leaving them for the next King Midas, who pulls up in his shiny G-Wagen SUV (as seen in those gold digger expose youtube videos), then it does make me wonder "how did their man win them over if it's not the money?" (despite the men and pick up artists, who bedded over 100 women saying how money plays a key role in getting women). I never asked this until here on GAG now.

If we have a healthy head over our shoulder, we aren't really taking lessons from pick up artists and dating coaches seriously, not at least by too much. Less so with their eye catching headlines like "Yes, you can be the alpha male even if you're beta" or "impress 97% of girls with these 3 simple tricks" or "loosen her up with these unusual bad boy moves". Those just overcomplicate things and usually are just interested in the monetary gain of it.

Well before I answer your question, let me pose the same question back to you and other guys:

What do you think attracts women to men? Think about it, money is NOT the only thing that attracts women to guys, contrary to what most will say or believe. When we were young, let's say teenagers, and we had our first boyfriend, or even a crush. We're in school and not working so obviously money is not a concern at that age. So what do you think attracts girls to guys at that age?

Looks and personality. Because anything else is irrelevant to us at that point in our lives (at least most of us, yes I know some little girls are spoiled brats, but let's omit them from this scenario).

So let's go back to your question now-

If there was no money in the world, that would mean no one could afford nice clothing, hairstyles, body spray/cologne, or cosmetic surgeries and dental work like teeth whitening. Things would be basic and simple.
So guess what? Both genders, not just women, would have to focus on what they should be focusing on in the first place: personality and sense (book sense and common sense). I'd want a partner that can take care of himself, hold a conversation, and knows how to thrive in society. Even without money, that kind of man is attractive.

I am not super rich or anything but probably in upper class in my nation and that's why my parents could have easily funded my Med school fee's in foreign country BUT I end up winning scholarship anyway... it happened cuz I have studied in prestigious institution in my country...
