Girls, why do girls wear underwear?

Underwear is useful for a lot of reasons. For one, it protects our pants from getting any kind of unexpected leakage or discharge on them. Also it protects our private areas from running up against the pants. Especially if I’m wearing something with a zipper I want something there to protect and make sure my lips aren’t rubbing up against it.
