I think a man should simply try quietly.

A manly man might work a masculine job, but even if he isn't something like a welder or a logger he doesn't give a shit what people say about it.

A man can care about the people that matter to him and ignore everybody else.
A man should be able to separate himself from the people he owes no loyalty to
He should be able to distance himself from gossip about others and ignore anything said about himself.

Basically a man should have decent priorities. If you think your truck or the brand of jeans you buy make you masculine then you aren't manly. Dress well if you can and if you can't don't apologize. Work hard but don't make a show of it. If you know what you do that's good enough, no need to go shopping covered in soot and smelling horrible just so people know you're a "real" man.

Being a man is about doing things for yourself or those close to you, but never doing things to be seen or admired by the world. If it happens so be it but it isn't the goal

You have ether been in the military, law enforcement, fire fightering, ranching, farming or commercial fishing
You have the skills to feed your family even by hunting skining and butcher animals if needed
You can drive and fix minor problems anything with tires or tracks
Ability to build a completely build a house alone
You keep your problems and finances private
You are inshape enough to meet the minimum requirements for your country special forces unless your retired or injured from above mentioned job
You volunteer
You dont start a fight but have the skill to end it
You treat your family properly
And most importantly if you're country is attacked your the first one in line to fight them off

Keeps his problems mostly to himself or tends to be able to solve them by himself.

Works long hours to support his family.

Works a traditionally masculine job.

Knows how to defend himself or his family but only when there's no resort or choice in the matter.

Is reasonable, and keeps or suppresses his feelings and emotions to himself.

Is cool, calm, collected, and confident. His body language or others speak for him.

When he looks at his surroundings, he doesn't turn his head, but just moves his eyes or turns his entire body.

Doesn't tell people his accomplishments or abilities, rather, he let's people find them out on their own or through accident by random events.

Is very humble and helps lift others up when they're feeling down.
