So do you think that if it wasn't for homophobia guys would compliment each other on their appearance as much as girls do?
maybe not as much but definitely more so. Since the dawn of time, women's net worth was/is generally based on her appearance. A mans net worth is often several other things before it comes to the appearance catagory.
I'm not going to deny that toxic masculinity doesn't have a detrimental impact but I don't think that's the issue here.

Again, I'm not here to deny that toxic masculinity is a problem. I'm just saying that it's not not the reason guys don't compliment each other on their looks as often as girls do (and I don't see how complimenting someone on something shows vulnerability).
