Even just for Halloween, can we not hold a toy gun because it’s “violence”?

Anonymous
My boyfriend and I made costumes for Halloween. I’m a moose and he is a hunter. We took some great pictures and I wanted to post on Instagram but he said since he is holding a “gun” (made with cardboard and it doesn’t even look like a gun tbh and you would agree lol) because it’s violence and he doesn’t want people to think or see him that way. I understand what he is saying, but is that a big deal? Like it’s just for Halloween and we won’t even walk around with it. It was just for pictures. And he was also saying that he doesn’t understand why I have to share on social media. It’s not I have to but I want to and it’s for my memory and it’s part of the Halloween event. But he doesn’t get it. So I guess I’m not going to post anything, but I just wanted to know what you guys would think.
