I’ve come to think of this based off of the transition between today’s guys whom I’ve had the pleasure to know. Some went alpha after life altering situations and some went beta for those situations what do you think?
Do you think being a beta or alpha male is taught/learned or were you born that way?

A social hierarchy has existed from the beginning of time within every living species. These traits are rooted within our biology, and to suggest otherwise is factually false. There are people who naturally lead a room, have high social status, money, good looks, and society values them on these characteristics. There are socially crippled unattractive loners who have nothing going for them. They don’t procreate. They don’t provide much societal value. This is reality. Definitively slapping a label on these two different types is operating in extremities. Most people are in the center. But to ignore the existence of this hierarchy is just stupid. Most of these are biological.
Yeah, a lot of people halfway correctly point out that the whole alpha/beta male concept doesn't apply to humans. It might not, but there is nonetheless some sort of obvious social hierarchy. It's probably much more complex than just alpha/beta/omega/whatever but it's definitely there.

LOL, Who decides what is on each list? They dont seem to align with nature's version of Alpha Beta.
I feel that it is based on my Testosterone levels but I guess that can't cover everything, just the physical and aggressive qualities

You are aware I hope that there is no such things as alpha, beta, gamma or epsilon men, right?
These Greek letters are solely used in the animal kingdom but never for humans. This is an invention of a guy that had some kind of complex and transcribed it to human behavior.
So-called alpha males are those that misuse others to their advantage and nothing more. They are toxic people by definition and anyone that associates to an alpha male is basically a guy that thinks he is better than the others. Nothing more, nothing less.
Social market value is definitely a thing. This is ironic because unless you're a feminist or queer, you probably would be most attracted to "Alpha Males" to begin with. You may not agree with the name, but confident successful men definitely exist, as do the opposite (male feminists, simps, cuckolds, etc).
@sueshe Yes, I agree! Some have PERVERTED the terms, used for the natural animal, social grouping, and hierarchy, and changed it to suit their needs, to maybe try to convince others that they should lead, as weak Betas, pretending to be True Alphas, in the Biological sense. It's a messed up way of trying to explain why some should be dominated by others, I think!

It's mostly taught, but genetics helps a lot. An Alpha Male is pretty much just a highly confident responsible man. And, it's MUCH harder to be confident being short (less than six feet), for example. Or overweight. Or with a small penis. Or with a medical condition or handicap. You can teach someone who to gain confidence, but if they're over the age of 18; it's going to be extremely hard to. I'm definitely not an Alpha, but I'm far from a Beta, as well. I'm just a flawed, messy work in progress trying to better myself, physically and spiritually.
Being sort of 'Omega' myself, I can only guess: These two types are trapped in a societal network that more or less pushes them into a role according to their basic (early) traits. So I see it as a 50/50 combination. Also: some people over-emphasize this alpha-beta-whatever thing (also counts for 'intelligence', or eye-queue (sic!)) - humans are made of many (plus many more) different details.
It's taught/learned because it's not a real thing for humans. The idea of an "alpha/beta male" is only something arbitrary some people try to define. The animals where such traits are present aren't closely related to humans.
I think the entire concept is manufactured in the minds of people who think they understand how society works and, in fact, definitely do not. It is foolish rhetoric you would do well to dismiss.

I think it's a combination. You have a genetic predisposition to one or the other, but your life also shifts you toward one of the two.
