What's the difference between weird and eccentric?

what would you say is the difference between something which is weird and that people would rather stay away from it, and something which is eccentric, that people get curious about it?

Someone who's a little odd but has money you will find is called eccentric. Those without money = weird (a word I hate)

no real difference they are synonyms. any difference would essentially be someone's subjective connotation of the word
