Would you have kicked this girl out of your gym?

Girl goes to the gym to work out. She does not have her camera with her and claims she is not recording. Manager approaches her saying she is filming which she denies. Manager states they are watching her stream in their office. She denies doing it and claims she is being harassed.

  • By paying and doing whatever signup stuff you have to do you are agreeing to follow the rules of the gym. If you don't follow those rules you are not owed service paying or not. If the rule is no cameras or streaming or filming or whatever, I'd allow the woman to stay under the condition she leave her camera at the front desk or whatever device she's using to film.

Now... that being said I would consider that being VERY gracious. I believe were it my gym and were one of my customers not willing to follow the rules I would have no obligation to let them stay. I'd be willing to give her a chance but she is not owed one.

  • She kinda seems like the kind of girl who thinks the world revolves around her, and she deserves everything, and everyone owes her.

I wonder if she's even using the gym equipment, or if all she does is stretch, there. I see some people who do nothing but stretch, in the gym. Like... what's the point? You can do that at home.

I swear, these chicks that come in damn near a bikini and don't even work out. Why? I'm glad my gym doesn't allow sports bras or belly shirts. All their sweat gets all over the equipment, like that, and not everyone is nice enough to wipe that shit off. If they're even working out.

I looked at a couple of her other videos, and I don't see her using gym equipment, at all.

"I'm not filming" *Immediately readjusts phone*

But, if that's the gym's policy, that's the gym's policy. They even told her it was fine, so long as she didn't get other people in the shot. She was just being self-absorbed and entitled. With my gym's policy you're not even supposed to have it out, much. If that's an issue for her, she should find a gym that doesn't care. Not try to argue that she is an exception to the rules, because it's her job.

And... again... was she even working out?

  • Oh no she lied to the staff oooh so baaad. That place most likely has its own cameras there. My gym is literally the size of a rich persons bedroom and they have cameras on almost every corner. And it’s a body builder gym so everyone is always taking pics and videos. Wtf this is so stupid. She obviously got trolled by her haters that called because they have nothing better to do other than hate on someone’s livelihood and success. I don’t think she should’ve been kicked out. Come to her prepared. She is a paying member of that gym just as those that supposedly complained. She should be treated with the same respect. Show her exactly where it states that she cannot have her phone and that’ll be the end of it. People get all hopped up on power cause they have a manager badge... this situation was so dumb and avoidable if the workers did their job properly. She wasn’t mad about them telling her to turn it off, she was mad because there was nothing backing that statement of “this is gym policy”

    • I disagree completely. The way she is recording clearly displays other members. Those members of that private gym didn't consent to being on camera. I view that woman as no different than Dani Mathers invading a gym member's privacy. It is okay to film and stream in public locations, but not private locations. Private businesses can establish their own policies.

    • @iskg679 I said that they should’ve showed her the gym policy. If you listen, her whole argument was about the policy. You don’t go to court and use something as an example yet not show it as evidence. They should treat her as the customer she is, and show her the policy. Then she can’t use that as an argument because she clearly saw where it said she cannot do what she’s doing.

  • she's an asshat. And yeah, I would have kicked her out. She can't show other people on her video or livestream or whatever exercise in narcissism she's participating in. They said she can do her shit against a wall, not a mirror. But apparently she thinks the rules and just plain old politeness doesn't apply to her

  • How far up your own ass do you have to be to record yourself working out? I presume she did this for social media. God, people these days are so retarded. I would've kicked her out just for being a narcissistic jizzrag,

  • The problem is not that she’s filming herself, that is ok by me. The problem is that she inadvertently is filming other customers. By law, you have to have a “release” for everyone who appears on film with permission to use their photo. And when the video goes viral, they don’t sue the girl. They sue the gym, because “that’s where the money is”. If she is teaching in the video, then she is probably violating a policy which does not allow for personal trainers who are not employees of the gym.

    • I recognize the gym and it is an expensive high end brand with a reputation to protect. It looks just like the one I used to go to in Plano, TX. I now go to a gym that literally costs 1/5 as much. If she did this at my current gym, no one would care.

    • The fact that she continued to film even after she was asked by the first employee shows that she is truly “special”. Very pretty on the outside, very ugly on the inside. The last part is her at the “support desk”, and she even chose to film that. “Very special”.

  • It depends on the rules and/or situation.

    A) If they have a stricks rule that filming isn't allowed, then they have the right to remove someone from the building.

    B) If someone streams and is only concerned with their audience, thus taking up unnecessary space, then they could do it, but giving a warning seems a better option.
Now about giving a warning, if someone chooses to ignore it, then they still have the right to kick her out if they have to.

    C) If other people in the gym are annoyed by her, then the gym owners should just give her her a fair warning instead of just kicking her out.
When ignored, then the correct action would be to remove her.

Now i would have asked the people and the owners there if it would be okay to stream there, just to be safe and to stay on good terms with the peole inside the gym.

Also she's a known streamer, so it's more than logical to conclude that there is a chance that there are viewers that also visit the same gym.
So to claim harassment is just plain stupid, because her audience could be anywhere.

  • I don't know. She doesn't seem like she's paying enough attention to her stretching/workout anyways. Granted, I understand she was interrupted by someone. But even right before that, she wasn't focusing on it. She started talking after she was counting. Maybe she's amazing and she can talk and count at the same time. But I personally don't know anyone who can talk and count (in their head) at the same time, including myself. That uses up too much focus and concentration. As long as she wasn't disrupting anyone, then she should be fine. I personally would not bring a camera in a gym. If I'm going to the gym, I'm going there to work out - not film myself talking AND working out. They have mirrors there, in case she didn't notice. Although, I fail to believe she didn't. She's likely trying to bring attention to herself, instead of working out at the gym. If someone wants to watch her videos, that's fine. But I personally am more focused with my own workouts and my own life. Whenever I have downtime, I'll do something else (like come on GaG).

  • If she was against a blank wall, she probably would've been fine... but she wasn't. She had her hidden video recorder facing the mirror and she's inadvertently recording other people without their prior knowledge or consent. They had to kick her out.

  • Yes I would have her removed and her membership refunded and explain this is not reality TV and unless everyone at the gym gives her permission to use them in her footage. Its borderline illegal as she is sharing footage of people without their consent.

  • well, it's their gym so they get to make the rules. if it's my gym i don't mind people recording themselves as long as no one is complaining, they're not recording other people purposely, and as long as they're not being like this girl at the gym i go to who doesn't allow people to use the bench press because she sets her phone on one of the bottom racks that holds one side of the bar to record herself at the dumbbell area about 10 feet away

  • What's funny is if I was live streaming her doing squats at this gym she would probably lose her shit. She doesn't care about the privacy of other members at this gym though.

Basically, she's an entitled cunt. She's gorgeous and she's used to people telling her no because everybody wants to fuck her.

  • Yes I would have. It's distracting and it's not what the gym is for. You want to stream 'acting like a gym slut' do it at home and buy some weights to put in the background and viola, you have your setting.

  • Generally yes, but honestly, as a businessman, part of me would stand back and see if it increased business... because I think it might.

Many make the argument that these people don't want to be recorded without consent, which makes sense, but does a man's desire to watch a hot blond work out not trump that? They have a free pass to ogle this chick.

Yeah though I'd be inclined to boot her ass out of there if she's not bringing $$ tho

All she had to do is go into a corner where it doesn't show other people

  • Yes, simply obey the rules, there's no exception to being a girl or whatever reason it may have. If she wanted to stream that desperate, simply asking so would've probs maybe even sufficed for me, but doing so behind their backs and lying straight face when being confronted with it, I'd have her removed and her membership revoked.

  • Already, she's lying to the staff there. She deserves to be kicked out just 'cause of that. Also, you recording people who might not want to be online. It's a rule that you have to ask permission to anyone who's on cam that they can be on cam, which she... well... obviously doesn't.

So I would first ask her to move to a wall where she's just filming herself, I'd have no issue with that, and if she kept behaving like she did in the video I'd tell her to leave or call the cops to have her forcefully removed.

  • She make the gym lose money do you honestly think people want to be film without consent and then finding it online? what you think will happen they probably thought the gym ok that behaviour and refuse to go back there because it just uncomfortable. People are already uncomfortable when they trying to lose weight then we have some ass like her doing that shit not cute.

  • The thing about this story is that she wasn't even not allowed to film and/or livestream - she just wasn't allowed to do it with the mirror behind her. If it was just her in the shot she'd have been fine.

However, for even just lying that she had a camera she deserved to be kicked out.

  • Yep she is pulling the harrassment card.
Yet she is wearing knee length socks which are not needed and are well known for the "slutty school girl" look, and she is recording, also what she is wearing could be a lot more subtle but it's very out there.

The fact that she is recording tops it off, it's against the rules in most gyms since it's private and it could hurt someones self esteem, people like her piss me off.

  • She violates the policies that they have already told her about. I would have removed her as well. She tries to play dumb and say she doesn't have her camera, but she knows she is recording on her phone. She is stupid and deserved what she got. The fact that she tries to say its because she is white just proves how utterly ignorant she is.

I watch a lot of youtubers who try to film in store but as soon as the manager says it's not allowed, they stop-and that's that.

But if they didn't stop, I would understand if the manager told them to leave. This is no different. People on social media know they aren't allowed to film anywhere, especially the gym. So, she deserved it.

  • Policy is policy. Plus it’s a problem that other people were recorded without their permission. If she’s wanted to record herself, she could’ve done with they suggested and record against the wall, but she didn’t.
