Are there a lot health benefits to going vegan or having a more plant based diet?

I have been considering it over the last two months mainly for health reasons. However I don't know how easy it would be to fully transition over.
I don't eat red meat that often but I still eat chicken and fish with my meals.

Is this worth it?
