My colleagues used to joke when I ordered ice-cold drinks while it was snowing wearing short sleeves that maybe I was trying to achieve some equilibrium with my body temperature to the external environment. :-D But I don't feel a difference.
I'm trying to decode the hidden message in your opinion... 🤔
You look good, that help?
Oh cheers! Here, have glass of water.
Yum! Cold water!
Newton's laws of thermal dynamics aren't all that you need to take into account. Our concious mind cannot tell our body how much we intend to drink nor can our body tell us when we've had enough. Drink ice cold water our body goes "that's to cold or body temp has dropped to quickly" and will then sink to balance that loss in heat by sending messages to the hypothalamus which in return will send a message to the epidermis and other key parts of the body. simply put... HOMEOSTASIS it will cool is down in the short term but we will warm up soon after.
