Why do some cancer patients look normal, but others don't?

I've read horror stories about cancer in news articles and it seems like how you looks varies too, not only the severity of the cancer. Most cancer patients looks normal. They may be bald, paler and skinnier than they usually are - but their facial features are the same. But some patients seems to change their facial features and get really fat. Some gets big tumors in their face and looks very deformed like their face gets eaten up. I'm wondering why it's like that. Isn't cancer one disease - so why do they look so different? #Cancer
