What are the top tips before going to the gym?

So, I am going to apply to a uni sex gym and luckily I have a student discount but I don’t know what are the things to buy, what should I expect as a overweight (I weigh 87.5kg) woman and other important things.

I have lost 15kg since March 2019 by dieting and walking a lot but I want to use the gym so I can lose more weight in the healthiest way.

Also I have a couple of questions if anyone is up to write their answers down.

1. Will losing weight change my body shape? I have a curvy body and well I don’t like it at all. I don’t suffer with insecurities, just don’t like my body.

2. What time is it best to go to the gym? I go to uni four times a week (sometimes three) and is it a good idea to go in the morning?

3. What type of machines should I use? I’m new to this stuff and a bit wary of hurting myself.
