Do you think animal testing is an effective way to determine whether or not a product will work on humans?

I am against animal testing not only for the cruelty but also animals bodies work differently than human bodies. They are more sensitive to chemicals and other substances and so they will have a different reaction to it than a human would. They are susceptible to other diseases that humans cannot contract. It doesn’t make sense to me.

I seen a post about lab animals and a comment said there’s a lot of criminals on death row that would make better test subjects. I kind of agree. What’s your opinion?
