Doing it right like this will make it harder, but you'll progress faster in exchange and you can do it from the knees if necessary to reduce the resistance.

Yes it is! I've found that with pretty much any workout or even physical sport, it is so easy to be in the wrong form and not even realize it!

Do some bench press with dumbbells for a while if you're that week in your primary chest muscles to do push movement from your body in straight forward direction 😉If you feel more in the front of your shoulder you're doing it wrong and need to pull your shoulder blades together and down to get shoulders in right position.If your shoulders are rotated you need to stretch different chest muscles and some that has to do with certain arm movements.
