I skip breakfast, with my first meal of the day being around noon ~ 2 pm, and my last usually before 8 or 10 pm.If your goal is limiting the impact of food on your blood sugar, you don't have to go on keto, just cut out the bad carbs.I personally don't follow the fat recommendations of keto (which is why I mentioned being on "quasi keto), the primary source of energy for me is protein (fish, meat, eggs, cheese), and I also eat legumes and some other carbs in combination with healthy fats such as nut butter and avocado.For most people, maintaining ketosis is unnecessary, and most people will struggle getting enough energy from fat without getting too many bad fats in the process.

I normally do a 20 hour fast.

It is, but you get used to not eating after a while.

Once you hit your target weight, enjoy your fruits once again. A friend of mine once said "have you EVER met anyone who was fat because they ate "too many fruits and vegetables" ? Hmmm... good point, huh? Some fruits ARE extremely high in carbs, but they are "good carbs" and if you're using them as your first energy source, they'll burn quickly. It's when you get overloaded with carbs that they get converted to glycogen and stored as fat. :) I'm always proud of YOU, girl !!

That's good. I'm going longer hours between meals to prepare for fasting. I work out a lot but have always had a poor diet prior to now.
