I don't trust on their advice. most people I have seen who went to the fitness trainers became more fat and their body proportional gotten more worst and scary. and they thought they are actually in sexy Shape in fact their body gone worst. that's disgusting. by the way I tried to workout by following workout apps. but the next day I became more depressed when I missed the accurate time that I supposed to workout. as a result I kept failing to continue my workout since I fell into depression for a few days. protein shake is costly. I can't afford that since I'm only a student.
I'm just saying use those so you get the correct form while you're training. They usually do a good job highlighting what muscle areas are getting hit.Don't follow those apps, they will make you over think and have anxiety about those workouts. Mainly focus on you calories and macros. Find a workout that works for you and when you hit the pump, you will feel good.Not necessarily a protein shake. Just do research on what foods have what protein. Like I usually have a chicken breast with some rice for my lunch to get a good chunk of protein, and it give me energy, and the rice is filling but doesn't hurt my carb intake too much.
how do I know if some exercise good for me
You'll feel it and you'll see the results. If you hit your targeted area correctly, you'll hit the pump and to some people that feels orgasmic.

Yes!!! They will get your abs burning always combine this with good nutrition
how long to get abs?
It depends on your % body fat! If you have it lower than 17% they should in less than 2-3 weeks. If you have it higher than that I would focus on doing high interval training, eating a lot of protein and veggies (high fiber) and drinking water. Do you know what is your % fat?
