Thanks! What’s the difference between the cup and disk?
The way the sit inside the body. The cup is lower and the disc sits against the pelvis bone and near the cervix. The Disc leaves a gap so penatration is possible with a toy or a man.I switch between then. There's a big Cup and Disc movement because tampons are very unhealthy and releases chemicals into the body. Since I made the switch my periods are lighter shorter and forget needing pain medicine. I switched because a tampon got lost against my cervix when I went to reach for the string and it wasn't there I simply figured I hadn't put one in. Well I got the worst infection ever. I glad I survived it. After that I vowed no more then I began to research what can I use instead cuz I love to go swimming and that's when I came across the lovely world of cups and menstrual discs Lifesavers I've been using them for almost five years. I recommend Lumma disc and the Ruby cup.La Lumma discus currently the only one that offers three different sizes for those who don't fit in the one size fits all category and they have a sale going on of buy one get one free to keep or give to a friend. The Ruby Cup is an amazing company that sometimes depending on what deal they have going if you buy one cup they donate one cup to little girl who can't go to school in a foreign country because she can't afford Menstrual products and their families have to decide between food or hygienics food wins. sometimes Ruby cup donate two. So in theory you're buying your cup and a cup for a little girl.In some countries girls are made to live alone for a week in a segregation Hut they're seen as taboo but with a cup the family can hide that she's on her period.
Wow! Thanks so much for ur feedback and thought, maybe I should change to a cup or disk! and that’s even cool they help other girls in need! Is there anything else that I need with a disk or cup? Bc I could see in the pictures that there are saalts? And other things? I can’t make the pictures bigger😅, is there anything I should know before using a cup/disk? Are there also any tip/tricks of using them? Thanks so much!
I learned from Bree Farmer. Due to a health condition she had as a teenager she wasn't able to use disposable products. she's been making YouTube videos and has been a voice for the cloth pads menstrual discs and cup movement. she is now an adult and owns her own reusable menstrual product company. She has an entire YouTube channel dedicated to every almost every cup out there. She has videos explaining how to use a cup out of wash a cup and I even have to sew your own menstrual pads. She's absolutely amazingI am giving you the link to her YouTube page the one that talks about the Lumma cup just to let you know the Lumma cup changed their packaging and it now comes with little cloth baggies instead of the silicone cases.https://youtu.be/R19He8w720M
Thanks so much! I’ll take a look!
Oh I'm sorry I forgot to answer your question yes there is certain products that can be bought as a wash I use the wash from the company salt but you can also boil it for about 5 minutes to clean it too.Amazon has a few products so does CVSTarget's pretty good tooBut I'm in the United States so I don't know if you have those stores. With the Cup itself I would always start with a small one to learn with. The disc is a little different you can read online how to measure I don't want to lead you wrongwww.lummacups.com/pages/how-to-use-menstrual-discPROMO CODES For Lumma and other cupshttps://putacupinit.com/coupons/
