Should I do workout splits or my way?

So I’ve been doing a workout split that goes “arms, legs, glutes+cardio” each week for a few months. But I’ve been seeing a lot of people do workout splits like Monday is triceps+chest, Tuesday is biceps+back, Wednesday is quads, and so on. So which one would be more effective? Or can I do either and get same results?
