Do you smoke? And that goes for marijuana, cigarettes and whatever else. Also, what are your reasons for doing it? Recreational purposes, medical, for cool points, etc.

Nope! I want to live as long as I can and smoking is not conducive of smoking. According to the Centers for Disease Control, 443,000 people die from diseases related to smoking each year. Smoking deaths are one of the most preventable causes of premature death. Still, each year more than 443,000 people die from this deadly habit. And in spite of that it doesn't keep people from smoking like a freight train going up a grade. Yet have a few hundred thousands die from COVID and the world stops. Smoking kills, on average, 1,200 Americans. Every day. More people die every year from smoking than from murder, AIDS, suicide, drugs, car crashes, and alcohol, combined. Smoking causes heart disease, emphysema, acute myeloid leukemia, and cancer of the mouth, esophagus, larynx, lung, stomach, kidney, bladder, and pancreas. Smoking also causes reduced fertility, low birth weight in newborns, and cancer of the cervix. Addictiveness of Smoking and Nicotine Smoking is highly addictive. Nicotine is the addictive drug in tobacco. Cigarette companies intentionally designed cigarettes with enough nicotine to create and sustain addiction. It's not easy to quit. When you smoke, the nicotine actually changes the brain – that's why quitting is so hard. Many smokers switch to low tar and light cigarettes rather than quitting because they think low tar and light cigarettes are less harmful. They are not. "Low tar" and "light" cigarette smokers inhale essentially the same amount of tar and nicotine as they would from regular cigarettes. All cigarettes cause cancer, lung disease, heart attacks, and premature death – lights, low tar, ultra lights, and naturals. There is no safe cigarette.

I did smoke in my teens and 20s - but no more. :) I rarely smoked pot, so I don't even know when I last did that, but certainly don't now. In my late 20s I got into cigars as a hobby. That lasted for a few years but ended up quitting that too. I ran into some health problems when I got to be around 30 and had to make some life choices. Smoking anything was one of them. I don't miss it.

I started smoking cigarettes when I was about 15 years old and I just did it because everybody else was and I don’t know I got pretty addicted pretty quick, it’s just a kid working with an addictive substance and I started to scrounging around for it I would pick up cigarette butts off the ground and smoke him, go through Estrace, I would even take old cigarettes from the strays break them up and get the tobacco, and then roll those into new cigarettes. A true addict, and this is at age 14 to 17 before I was even legally allowed to smoke. I continued my nicotine addiction for almost 20 years I’d say, and I’ve not smoked now for a good stretch and I never want to go back to it.
As for marijuana, I had a lot of people smoke and eat around me and used it and I was never really too interested because the times I did trie it, I just was hungry and then I would eat, but then I would still be hungry, which I found to be annoying. Similarly, I would feel tired, but then I would sleep, and then I would wake up and I would still feel tired, which I felt was also quite annoying. I mean, it’s not like I didn’t understand the fact that he felt good and was kind of fun, but the side effects of hunger that was insatiable and sleep tiredness that was also insatiable were such major detractors that I just stop doing it. I did start again eventually and I feel like it is pretty fun and can make things that are normal seem epic, but it’s also a bit of a trip and illusion so I don’t like to participate in a whole lot. I think it’s best to do it for me at least around maybe once or twice in a year, but other than thatIt’s a bit of a waste of time and brainpower
Tobaco: Yes/periodically. Party-smoker mostly. Sometimes it goes on for a bit though because of it being addictive. But I get off it within a year, I make it a point to retain control.
Reasons/excuses: So, the main reason for me is social. Im not antisocial really, but it can be hard sometimes to get me started. I live in Sweden, the culture here is generally a bit reserved and so having an excuse to go outside and gather for a smoke helps a lot. Wherever I am, smoking gives me an excuse to leave the room, take a break, ask or be asked for a lighter (ice-breaker).
----
Weed: Yeah, not all the time but once a month or so. Unless I have a job that prohibits it and does tests.
Reasons/excuses: Bored mostly. I like it at certain times/moods. - It can get me to take my mind off of things sometimes that might otherwise drain my energy. - Like to workout and dance on it. - Can be real fun with friends as well.
I vape most of the time to keep a lid on things. I get triggered pretty easily and nicotine keeps me calm.
I smoke weed not so often, maybe every once in 6 months? Something like that. But, when I do smoke weed, it's to get away from life for a little bit and just have fun with it😂

Every now and then It's kinda the same to alcohol to me, having one every now and then ain't gonna kill me, just the same for drinking or weed. Never been addicted to anything and never will be, i have a strong will. So it's always gonna be in moderation and with that it's not really gonna effect my life to much to the next person. Also social stuff could impact how much i will, aka if my girlfriend likes it, don't like, smokes herself, friends smoke or don't.
Nope. I view cigarettes as pacifiers for adults. The smell is gross, second hand smoke is nasty, etc. Cancer sticks...
With weed, I view it in the same light. Bad for the lungs, second hand smoke is noxious. It does have some benefits, my mom uses it to help with RA pain, but the vast majority of people only do it to get high. I never plan on using it.
I had just one yesterday after quitting a while back but I won't do it again. I think it is a stress reliever for some people but a very bad habit that no one should start.
I have smoked a spiff before, I’m not going to lie. Now I rarely do that, and cigarettes I can’t stand.

I smoke whenever I have money pretty much (cigs), which isn't that often :/
mostly because its really calming & feels good. plus I like the nicotine jitteriness thing, it cuts your hunger, everyone my age smokes & its kinda something you have to do socially if you want to fit in right where I live (like everyone except 5 people (they're all considered losers) in my grade smoke) and it kinda goes with my sad girl aesthetic. ik that sounds stupid but whatever.

Nope. It’s against my religion and it’s not healthy to smoke anyway🙃🤷🏾♀️
I smoke weed and cigarettes. I have my med card for my pot and I use it for sleeping and anxiety mostly. I never saw it as a cool thing to do. I dont smoke socially either. I only smoke when I'm at home relaxing.
No I don't smoke, disgusting and to expensive habit, I have money for other things!

I smoke, and I find it looks elegant with an elegant suit (and sexy for women doing/wearing similar) 🚬🕺💃🏻 It only looks scummy when junkies in tracksuits are smoking
by the way I started right after my mom died. A friend gave me one and said this would claim me down. Well I was so stressed out over my moms passing, by the end of the night I smoked his whole pack and that was the day I became a smoker
