So I live in Canada and Canada’s food guide says that

50% of your diet should be fruits or veggies
25% should be whole low glycemic grain
25% should be protein through meat or dairy or nuts or soy products

In my Chinese family

30% of our food is fruits and veggies
50% is high glycemic grain
10% is protein through meat or nuts or dairy or soy products like tofu

Should I eat Canada’s food guide to lose weight? Will it help?
Would I lose weight if I made this dietary change details here?
