It can definitely happen on birth control but you should talk to a Dr just in case, they may want to check your blood pressure to make sure everything is ok and they may be able to help you with regulating it.

Have your hormones checked as it could be something as simple as a Thyroid imbalance. The Thyroid Gland is responsible, among other things, for controlling your periods.

Yes you should talk to your doctor about it because you may need a different dosage of hormones. The irregular period is a sign that it's not working correctly.
