I have bad hip pain on the right side almost near the spine. What caused this?

I can't really think of anything I did besides the times I cracked my back by twisting my torso left and right but ever since I think during with time now when I move my hips a certain way like lean to the right it a sharp pain but when I lean to the left its normal. It also trigger a pain when I put pressure on the right side. Anyone know the cause of this?

It sounds like it could be your SI joints. These are your sacroliiac joints and they are located on both sides of your pelvis. Sometimes these joints will move just a fraction of an inch and the two plates rub together like tectonic plates hundreds of miles below the earth before an earthquake. Those SI joints can become inflamed. Several things for treatment are PT, SI joint infections with cortisone to calm down the inflammation.. I've had both back and hip problems, but I'm not going to try and guess what this is. Although I think this is more likely your back than hip.

Give it some time and see if it gets better. Meanwhile take it easy and stop twisting and cracking your back like that, permanently. Don't do stretches like toe touches either, unless you have a professional who has examined you and OKs it.

Very often the pain is caused by inflammation. Basic aspirin might help with that.

If this doesn't go away after a while go to a doctor or good chiropractor. Don't pick a chiropractor at random, only go to one you've gotten good recommendations for.

Don't take chances with your back. It can easily become a lifelong injury that really cramps your style.

As far as back vs hip, one affects the other. If it changes your posture, it can affect things throughout your body.

Thanks I wish I knew not to awhile ago cause when I sit sometimes i feel the urge to do it. I hope its nothing serious. Usually i felt pain before and then it goes away and nothing but now it's still happening. I also have this thing where if I stand long periods of time my right lower side of the back kinda hurts

When you tell people you have a bad back, it's very common to hear people say things like "My uncle Joe had the same thing, and here's what he did. It worked wonders." Do NOT listen to that kind of thing.

Whatever is wrong with you may not be the same as someone else no matter how similar the symptoms. What helped one person might be a disaster for another.

As far as pain on one side, very often the pain is on the opposite side as the injury. Standing still can be one of the hardest things when you have a bad back. It's possible that's just muscle. Especially if you have an injury and are favoring one side, or tensing up, it can cause that. Pay attention to if you are standing normally or tensing.

yea that might be from bad positioning, i sat in a wrong position for a while once and i had a sharp pain on my back on one side i couldnt stretch or lean certain ways because it would hurt more, you might have slept in a bad position or something

I wish it was that simple like if I'm laying on my right side and moved my hip a certain way I feel that mild pain.
