Anyone that loses over a certain amount of weight is gonna have loose saggy skin. Whether they lost the weight fast or slow. The majority of people who get this surgery do keep it off actually. Over 70% of them keep the weight off. Hair loss is normal in anyone losing weight but there’s supplements you can take to alleviate that. And skin removal (due to weight loss) is actually covered by insurance!

I wish losing weight was only 30 minutes for me. I usually did an hour a day :)
what type of exercise did you do?
You do realize that surgery is for people who are morbidly obese and are too overweight to just be doing 30 mins of cardio a day, right? And it’s called sleeve gastrectomy. And it has a LOT of health benefits. A morbidly obese person might lose about 15% to 25 % of their goal if they only exercise and eat right without the surgery. With this surgery, they lose 60% to 70% of their goal weight in only one year. It’s even proven to put certain illnesses in remission like diabetes, hypertension, fatty liver disease, etc. No one is going through all the pain of getting this surgery because they’re lazy. It’s usually done if they’re so unhealthy that if they take the slow way of losing weight; they’re body won’t recover in time for them to get to their goal. This surgery allows them to lose the weight faster; therefore allowing their body to recover faster as well. Not everyone has a couple of years to lose weight. Some of them will die before they get there. Even with diet and exercise. That’s what makes this surgery necessary for them. I also wanted to mention. You are fixing the root of the problem. Any reputable doctor will make you lose a minimum of 50 pounds on your own before performing this surgery on you.
@Angie221994 Sorry the way i said it was wrong. I was talking partially in context of liposuction etc. also but of course if you're extremely overweight it is necessary if you're willing to CHANGE. I'm sorry, experiencing addiction before I have always gotten help for myself before things got bad for others. One experience in my family is of my cousin who was told she could die after a gastric sleeve (is that it) was performed on her but continued to eat a lot. She said she didn't care to stop, and she didn't open up to help even when everyone around her was paying for her food, her medical support, her everything. People like that hurt themselves, she was hurting, but also those around her were too. Her dad was heartbroken and her brother was put under extreme stress because she was endangering herself. I don't want to feel sorry for people like that, because being sorry doesn't help them. The only problem I have with your argument is that you don't mention why they got so unbelievably fat in the first place. If you experienced this I understand you'd have that perspective, and i respect you've come through it but until people have fixed themselves i have a hard time sympathizing, because they probably never will. Unless you are allowed to be guilt-free in some extreme way such as force feeding, but even then you have no choice but to either WAKE UP or GET OUT. Just look at David Goggins, sure he wasn't as obese but he had a really shitty mentality, much like a lot of severely obese people. 99.9999% of overweight people can do it. Sorry if this offends you, I'm not good at sugarcoating my words.
It’s none of my business why someone got so overweight. That’s their business. Its not your business either. You don’t have a right to question it. All that matters is if they are willing to change. My family member that did get the gastric sleeve went through a 6 month weight loss program BEFORE she could get the gastric sleeve done. It was very difficult for her to lose weight. She did have a thyroid issue. Almost everyone is required to work out and eat healthy and lose a certain amount of weight before they can get a gastric sleeve. She was told to lose 30 pounds. And she lost 37. Any good doctor will require this before going into surgery.
That’s absolutely true
Hits you in the belly and the wallet lol
Yeah you definitely have those patients too
