Well, that sounded crazier than I intended in retrospect. I tried a further vocal response:https://voca.ro/1h0h1zhlvQiN

Also i only have few mental breakdowns occasionally. I have things managed other times. Plus i am busy

What's the problem with you?
Short version, intimacy. Not comfortable with giving another person that kind of power over my happiness and don't want to go through losing someone close again.
We are in the same boat.
Anyways, I clearly stated "mental disorders". Intimacy issues cannot be termed as one.
Is tinnitus a mental disorder?
'Hearing loss and tinnitus (ringing in the ears) can increase one's risk of developing mental illnesses including depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, and dementia, and can trigger episodes of extreme anger and suicidal ideation.'*google*
I don't think so. It's a physiological issue.
The point here isn't self diagnosis, but how people can't accept the help they so badly need.
When I was depressed for over decade during my youth, the thing that helped me the least was other people's "help"."The more you cry the less I care."Ok, I get it.. I'll do it myself. And so I did.
But you did go to therapy na
Only a few times to qualify for financial assistance, never to help me emotionally.
I wouldn't feel comfortable with a therapist. I have emotionally made it alone for 32 years.
You should have included "cost/expensive" as option. This anon, me and a lot of other people would have chosen it.
I accepted her reason graciously because her response ends with "I'd love to if I could".
You dragged yoga into this.True, a healthy lifestyle makes it much more unlikely to be unwell but it doesn't guarantee shit. Some disorders even are hereditary.
I dragged yoga because yoga works. Just check out the research link that I sent you. That's Harvard research.
I don't trust the labels.Harvard my ass.
Your trust doesn't matter dear. The fact is that yoga works and it's proven over and over again.
Stats are biased. Just some exaggerated numbers. Don't even get me started.
You getting started won't change anything. Stats are stats.
Who messaged you? They have me blocked xD
Lmao 🤣 this guy blocked me after he wasn't able to counter my argument and he thinks I am the one who has blocked him😂 Pink anon, will you please remind him of the argument where he tagged you and a lot of other people and then blocked me when I said that 16+ girls and guys are having sex because it's legal in some states in USA.
That's Twenty2 and he's ceaselessly arguing that if Harvard says yoga helps, then it must be true.No need for expensive therapy.
Not only Harvard, there are a lot of studies done by a lot of organizations. by the way, you didn't tell him how he lost the argument and wet himself then blocked me because he was too much of a child to accept that he lost.
Ohhh ok, good. I hope he keeps me blocked then, thank you.
He's one of those people who think surveys are accurate😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 this delusional guy thinks that I have blocked him. Please help him pink anon and tell him that he's the one who has blocked me.
It wasn't a survey. It was a controlled experiment. Don't you know the difference? 🤣 Are you saying controlled experiments are dumb? Because all of psychology is controlled experiments.
Every factor that has potential of influence cannot be controlled, Barry
Then psychological treatments also don't work all the time, pink anon.
Trying doesn't hurt, Barry
That's exactly what I am saying, anon. Instead of wasting your money on something expensive as fuck, why not try the cheaper method first? Maybe you'll get amazing results. Maybe you'll get good results. But you'll never get bad results because you're not eating any artificial medicine. Yoga/Ayurveda is 100% natural so there are no side effects. That's not the case with modern day medicine.
Go to a clinic they have clinic that I will charge you three dollars a session
You did go to therapy, true?
I did. Yes.
Reason we've therapy in the first place.
Not feeling ready to change?
So are child expenses, so don't start a family?😂
Less than your mental health and well being?
Hmm 🤔 do you even know the charges of psychiatrist? The charges of medicines? In India, that shit is super costly and people aren't that rich.
So in other words, waiting for condition to get worst?
There's no other option dear. Unless you're funding the whole treatment I don't think you should comment on people not going to psychiatrists. Plus, yoga is good for psychological well being and costs nothing so I promote that rather than psychiatrist. www.artofliving.org/in-en/research-sudarshan-kriya
The question clearly is stating 'mental disorders'. Yoga and meditation has its limits. Yes, we're instructed to give more advice regarding natural exercise and so on.If we listen to you, you'd probably ask us us to have balanced diet and abstain from any unhealthy activity i. e smoking...The question is, can we?
There's an extent to which you can self regulate. If you need help, then you should seek it.
If you've cancer, you won't think "oh, the treatment and medicine cost is too much. Let's do yoga and let the damage multiply. Who cares, my existence isn't worth it."
Exactly! If I had cancer, I would not treat myself and live my life to the fullest till I die. And regarding mental disorders, there are a lot of mental disorders. And the frequency varies too. Do you know OCD doesn't always means you end up hurting yourself? There are different levels of mental disorders. If you're talking about the higher level then that's another story in comparison to beginner level. I think beginner level can be controlled by the person itself but in the case of advance stage, the person (if he can afford it), should seek help. On the topic of smoking, I wouldn't waste my time in lecturing someone to stop smoking. I didn't put a cigarette in his hands so it's not my job to take the cigarette out of his hands.
You should have mentioned the intensity of mental disorder and the type of mental disorder too.
Hurting yourself isn't the only disadvantage of a particular disorder. Even if you're frightened of elevators and therefore take stairs at office and hence reach late, even though it's good for your health, it's bad for your work life and bottom line, a disadvantage.
Cancer and smoking are your personal views that I can respect. Even so, majority don't hold the same mindset as you.
I wouldn't waste my money on claustrophobia. I had fear of heights. I overcame it by myself.
That's because it doesn't interfere with your everyday life.
You're focusing on the wrong thing. The focus should be on the fact that I overcame my fear. Are you claustrophobic?
