Thanks for the MHO.
That was kinda my point🙃.
never believe someone that's trying to sell something to you :D
That goes without saying. I used to be an ad man, so I know how shady they have to be sometimes, to make a living. Still, I never sank so low as to promote tobacco or firearms. Beer yes, hard liquor, no.
i think weapons, liquor and tobacco are not inherently "bad" things. everything is harmfull if you dose it wrong and nothing is harmful if you dose it right. so how a consumer behaves is up to them and their responsibility. as an advertiser, you should not have to emphasize the "bad" aspect of your product, cause that's litterally the opposite of advertising xD
I don't have a problem with these things iether, but I disapprove of how they are marketed and regulated, and feel that the potential danger of misuse and abuse warrents a greater degree of honestly in marketing and legislative administration.
yeah well luckily the legal system agrees that the tobacco industry was fraudulent about the health implications of smoking. don't know how it is where you live but where i live, advertisers of tobacco are not allowed to advertise without explicitly informing about the major halth risks. in fact if you buy a pack of tobacco here in germany, it will look like this:www.tabak-brucker.de/.../ab_marlboro-gold-soft-zigaretten_b_1they have to put a big picture and a well readable fact. in this case it says that smoking increases your risk to go blind. there's a variety of other even more disgusting and shocking images that they have to put randomly.
Yes, and thanks to huge revenues being put into lawmakers pockets, it only took them 30 years to get around to doing so.
well you are absolutely right about this issue. and that's exactly why i absolutely can not understand that people just follow a government that suddenly claims to care a lot about your health and allow it to determine who can make a living or not and who is forced to be incarcerated at home or even vaccinated against their will...it's dark times we live in dude. the ignorance of people is not understandable for me.
cause things like that are never fixed by coroporations, politics or "the law". they are always fixed by a civil society that slowly but surely learns and forces those other acteurs into submission by acts of civil disobediance, protest or denial of power by means of voting accordingly. yeah those things take ages and i don't know anything that would speed this up...
Ambitious people will say anything to get elected.
well they will say anything to get elected ESPECIALLY if that also gives them massive potential to earn tons of money in this nepotistic, opportunistic, corrupt and oligarchic society suffering an infinite growth delusion that we find ourselfs in.
Advertising was my 🍞@🧈 for a number of years. Your preaching🙄 too 😒 to the choir 😂, my man 🙂🤘. (😎'y 🤑💩) happens, my friend, and it's name is Big 🚬. Just because 🤥 'ing their Corporate Ass off, about the dangers inherent in habitual overindulgence of the air born poison they market as 😎, refreshing, harmless flammable Social currency in the form of a conveniently ruled portable cancer stick with or without filters, with or without flavor or menthol, definitely with 1000.00 toxic, carcinogenic, poisonous all around, chemicals specially formulated to make their lethal product 10 times more addictive to thier regular customers, than the products produced by their Native American Competitors. It 🦨💨's, but it's legal. Only a morally bankrupt individual, would call it ethical.
hehe never mind that they already found the next better thing called "vaping" which is just more of the same with big long term studies not being out yet, so they can still rightfully claim not to know of any dangers, even though there's countless accounts fo litterally collaped lungs as a consequence of overconsuption of vaping in connection with a otherwise acquired infection of the lung that would have been relatively harmless otherwise.
With all the money they spend on research, they probably had this whole vaping thing lined up 20 years ago or more, just waiting for the right window of opportunity to market it.
coperations don't have minds. not becausue they can't. but because each and every little cog in the system has no integrity, ammounting to a big overarching lack in coroprate integrity. people "just wanting to earn money" not giving a shit about what that does to others is the bane of our society.considering that you need money to survive, that issue will probably never be resolved.
