One-handed handstands, you know. I can still do that, sorta, although I've been wobbly at my old age. But I can find guys saying or even showing 100+ push-ups with a bad form that can't even do a one-handed handstand. So I am tired of this boast about numbers, reps, PRs. It's even getting to a point where some skinny girl who never lifts talks about how much a guy should be able to bench.
But quantity over quality seems to be the dominant way these days. Like PE teacher whistling saying, "1, 2, 3, 4, ...". Up-down-up-down. You don't think about the quality of your motions and controlling every muscle fiber. So everyone gets hung up on the numbers. Up-down-up-down, monkey-style. But you can't slow it down and ask someone to balance their bodies on their fingers because they only know up-down-up-down. They learned their jerky motions but they didn't learn how to control their bodies down to the most nuanced steps. So you get big numbers but not big results -- you get some skinny guy doing 100+push-ups who breaks like a twig the moment he is hit by anything really hard.
So you wanna impress you just do ONE. Just one. But do the most beautiful push-up I have ever seen. Every fiber of your being is in control resisting that upper body off the floor, as though you could explode off to outer space if you did it fast. I want to see just one beautiful push-up, and I will be impressed.

Liars? If someone got down and did 80 pushups in a row they just wouldn't be impressed bro
People who say they can do 100+ are liars.People who wouldn't be impressed until seeing 100+, well they just have no clue.
you should try for pull ups. I tap out at 14. that's absolute max.
How do you do pushups?
I do clap pushups and I started out doing 3 and worked my way up to 10
You aren't the one who said 100?
Nope. There's no way I could do 100 push ups. No way
Im doing 30 right now. I started out at 20 on January 1st. Pushing to do all 50 in one go by February...
Good luck! Hope you kill it!
I do 50 situps a day. And I put my arms back behind me on the last 20 for resistance. Then I'll target my core some more and thrust my feet towards the sky until complete exhaustion
