Would you leave your husband/wife if they had a major brain disease?

I read an article about a man who had a wife with a disease that was killing her and making her lose her memory. The disease has no cure or even a treatment to slow it down. One must watch their spouse suffer and die and not know who anyone around them is. I cannot even imagine facing this choice, let alone how I would decide.
No. Our marriage vows said "death do us apart".
Vote A
Yes. (S) he has lost who (s) he is and therefore is already dead.
Vote B
I have faced this choice before and do not wish to discuss it. I'm just checking this box and will not expand my answer.

There is no right or wrong answer, so please do not jump down each other's throats. Just answer the question. Nobody has done so yet, but I forgot to mention this originally.
