Personal taste I guess. Depends on what kind of wedding you picture yourself having. I like spring for the freshness of new greenery and all the tree blossoms, it's also not too hot. And I like the idea of winter wedding somewhere that has warm weather, just so I could celebrate anniversaries in the future to come in the winter. I might even be selfish enough to get married on Valentine's Day.

Where I live, Late spring early summer is most ideal for outside celebrations largely due to the weather.

In our country it's certainly winter. Rest of the year is firstly too hot and secondly there's a lot of rain and storm so the weather just doesn't suit the occasion. Winters are cold but not too cold and it's a dry season. Perfect for weddings, wearing all the heavy clothes, eating so much rich food... That can be very uncomfortable in summers and even make you sick. And if it rains people won't even show up.
My sister's wedding reception was in the summer and it rained on the day of the ceremony. Very less people showed up due to the weather, so much food was left over.
I want my wedding to be in spring. Summer, it is too damn hot and humid. While fall and winter, here in Canada, it is too damn cold lol my birthday is in spring as well so I think with the flowers blooming, the weather being not too warm, not too cold, the sun shining.. it would be perfect. So I agree with your girlfriend lol but I'd extend mine to May as well.
Google says June, September, and October. Depends on your climate. I would say no to June here too hot. September is usually too hot too. We did October and were worried but it turned out beautiful! The leaves weren’t quite orange fall yet but they were weird this year anyways. October 12 was ours. Holiday weekend with Columbus Day
It really depends what a couples ideal wedding is. If they want a beach wedding, getting married in winter is probably not the right time lol so it depends
Spring for sure, there’s a lot of rain which isn’t always ideal but the flowers are blooming and the temperature is usually not too hot or cold

I want a wedding in the open, so I would say spring is the best. That way you don't have to wear a coat or worry about the cold and it's not very hot either.
