Anybody here shop on Craigslist? Why are people willing to give such GREAT DEALS? What are the best deals you’ve come across personally?

In my area, Craig's List is pretty worthless. Or at least it's worthless for the kind of things I look at, which is several categories. I very rarely have see anything for a decent price on Craig's List. The type of things I look for are tools, bicycles, video games, music CDs, computer parts, books, and a few other things. So far I have only found one good deal, and I still kick myself for not getting it.

As for that trailer, I'd be curious what "light water damage" means. And how much it will cost to fix it. If it's not too bad, I'd jump on that deal. But as someone who used to wheel and deal, including a couple of trailers, a good deal is going to sell FAST. With a really good deal, you need to be on it within a few hours, or even a few minutes. Your best bet is if the seller was at work when the ad came out. That puts you on more of an even footing with the pros.

I bought my used car on Craigslist. Had a fair deal and everything worked good.

But you definitely need to be aware some people could be withholding information or trying to scam you. Or worst he might try to rob you or even kill.

For big things like cars it's fair to say most of them are going to be legit. Besides Craigslist you don't really have too many other options to sell your car locally.

But when you start seeing deals way too good to be true then you need to be cautious. Item could be stolen and the theif is trying to sell it real quick for fast money.

The item could be a fake. Or maybe the person is moving and is trying to get rid of as much stuff as fast as possible.

Because it’s 16 years old and water damaged. The water damage also makes it very likely there is a bad musty smell in the whole camper and potentially mold (which is unhealthy to live among). People aren’t willing to pay more for it in this condition, if they’re even willing to pay the $2500. I sure wouldn’t. I wouldn’t even take it for free because of the condition it’s in.

Yeah clist is the best thing in the world, I don't know who said they started charging thats a lie, I make at least 5 transactions a year there probably more, I buy everything off clist. Honestly its probs more like 10 transactions a year and usually more than that

I used to list there but they started charging and Etsy is a better deal. You should see the deals on etsy. Of course I am the lowest price.
