I have a question for those who do...
Me! I'm Brazilian :)
-What does voce mean? -When do you use conmigo? -Why are you Brazilian?-How is Portugal Portuguese different than Portugal Portuguese? I am thinking about learning Portuguese from either Brazil or Portugal.
Você means "you" "comigo" means "with me", and you use it the same way. "do you want to go out with me" in Brazilian portuguese is "você quer sair comigo?" Because I was born in Brazil :pPortugal Portuguese is waaaay different from Brazilian Portuguese.
I want to marry you <3 Which do you think I should learn?
It depends. Brazilian Portuguese suffered a lot of changes through time and became a little distant from Portugal Portuguese.
Awe like long lost cousins. If I have anymore questions over Brazilian Portuguese, would be okay if I messaged you them?
I was told to give you MH lol.
Have an opinion?
@mattius_mbi guess... hope i spelled it correctly :S
Typed wrong :p
Please ask x)
PORTUGAL!! YES!What is the difference in Brazilian Portuguese and your Portuguese?Like do you guys still use voce and stuff?
Portuguese:Eu - ITu - YouEle - He/she/itNós - WeVós - YouEles - TheyIn Brazil they use "você" instead of "tu". In Portugal we use "tu" with people of our age/people we are close. On the other hand we use "você" too, but is more respectful since we only use it with teachers/older people.
In some areas of Brazil, people still use "tu" instead of "você"
Oh, I didn't know that! :) I guess it's not common?@wahnsinn
You are all amazing! Hearts for all of you <3 <3 <3 If I have any other questions, would it be okay to message you them?
Sure! :)Can I ask you why do you want to learn Portuguese that much? I'm just curious now ahah :p
I'll explain it in portuguese because I couldn't articulate it better in English , @overthinkingmind.
I know Spanish and I wanted to learn about something I don't know anything about. And I realised. I have no idea about anything involving Portuguese! So I thought "Fuck, I have to learn this now!" plus I got a Brazilian/Portuguese friend and I want to be able to talk to her (dad is Portuguese, mom is Brazilian)
OMG ITS PORTUGUESE IN ACTION!
Humm, estou a ver x) Isso é realmente uma novidade para mim! Sempre que falei com pessoal do Brasil eles tratavam-me por você.Outra diferença: Português - eles tratavam-meBrasil - eles me tratavam Ahaha :pAnyways, OP, I'm sure if you learn Portuguese, (no matter if it's Brazilian or European), you'll be able to understand both of them in the end :)
That was so beautiful. I dunno who is going to win mh now lol.
Ahaha! Give it to @wahnsinn, she has less MHO% and she taught me some things too! She deserves :)
-What does voce mean? -When do you use conmigo? -How is Portugal Portuguese different than Portugal Portuguese? I am thinking about learning Portuguese from either Brazil or Portugal.
*Voce means you. *Conmigo means "with me". You can use it in a wide variety of sentences like "voce esta conmigo" which can mean "you are with me" or "you are dating ms" depending on the context. Tje differences between brazilian portuguese and portugal portuguese are related to the accent and the small differences between words (just like us and uk english) I prefer brazilian english! Hope that helped :)
*Brazilian portuguese sorry lol
Thank you :pBrazilian Portuguese suffered a lot of changes through time and became a little distant from Portugal Portuguese.
