Does anyone know how to de-oxygenate water?

Does boiling it work? If so, how long do you have to boil it for? How quickly does it become re-oxygenated?

If that doesn't work, are there any other ways?

Thanks :)

  • First of all you can't completely deoxygenated water as it is a molecule H2O. The O standing for oxygen. To get all the excess oxygen out, boil for 20 minutes. But how and who got the excess oxygen in?

    • Haha, don't worry I'm not trying to change the molecular structure of water :P
Well doesn't most water (i. e. tap water, river water, etc.) have oxygen dissolved in it naturally? That's what I'm trying to remove

    • That is a process that is used at Stanford University Chemistry Department
