I think you had some crud or something in the bottom of the tank, and the turn sloshed it enough to get it sucked into the fuel intake. Now it's stuck in the filter, whatever it is, and starving the engine of fuel.
It could be there was a cold spot in the tank and some of the fuel had gelled, and the turn was enough to get it sucked into the intake and THAT caused the starvation - ironically, the fuel starvation is caused by fuel! If such is the case, a little heat on the fuel line will thaw things out.
This was normal problem with most of the new holland tractor.
