  • probably not. aside from international soccer pretty much every sport has a salary cap. it helps to maintain a comptetive balance. without it teams from smaller cities (say Orlando or Milwaukee) would have almost no chance of competing with larger market and city teams like LA or NY

  • No, they are athletes, they shouldn't be able to make more than a few milion a year. They aren't home often enough to use it. They may have to relocate and change teams. It's tediculous how much they make and how much people care about what they make. If there is that much money to spread around, there is a lot more that the owners could do for the planet and society rather than give it to people who play sports for a living

  • No, because then there won't be any competition in the league due to the wealthiest teams signing all of the best players.

  • No, then the super team thing would get more worse than it already is

  • No because then awful players would request more money from teams because there is no salary cap.

  • No cuz then the wealthiest teams will continually dominate and the fan base will erode. something like this happened to baseball.

    • We already have super teams the only thing it would change is that they'd be able to stay together longer and have more depth.

    • we don't have super teams. yes, we have "big three's", but, super teams would literally be a team of the BEST players
