  • 1. It enables criminal behavior that would not be legally criminal. This will drive up insurance costs because of the effects of victimization.
    2. It is inconsistent with all other legal (and scientific) theory. Biologically, there is not a significant cognitive difference between an 18 and 28-year old. The only differences are experience and some maturity. But an 18-year old knows the difference between right and wrong no worse than a 28-year old. The law understands this biological reality which is why adulthood is legally considered as 18 years old.

  • mainly cause by 28 you're an independent adult (hopefully) and when you're on your own it shouldn't be your parents fault. I'd understand if it were at 18 or 19 but at 28 you're already an aduly
