Nothing that I could put into words that made sense probably, I've been that way all my adult life.If it's something meaningful like what you mentioned naturally I want to be at my best, with that in mind why would I need anything else or something special to lift myself up or be up for the challenge? I'm not trying not to give you an answer, I'm confused as to why you think someone would need a motivational tool when something as important as those mentioned should be enough.
I love individuallity more than anything in the world, so massively appreciate what you say, from a personal point of view when faced with a challenge I love headphones in and music played to the max, so essentially minimalizing any chance of negative thoughts taking over.
An excellent way to get motivated headphones w/loud music.I'm always in my head so quiet time over loud music works for me, the last few months have been a challenge with my career, your question made me think on a personal level what I do to prepare for something significant. Thank you!
Pleasure, and equally thank you for not giving a generic answer, but instead giving a thought provoking answer, which is always appreciated!
Always, again great question thanks!
I agree music. It depends what I am pumping myself up for... - a night out- black eye peas ( I gotta feeling) - a night of sex- Marvin Gaye (lets get it on) - a big project- work it! Missy Elliott ( if it’s worth it- let me work it! It puts me in the mood to work. Although, there has been times where I have been like... no... it’s not worth it! Lol 😂
Marvin Gaye-lets get it on... It's musical Viagra! lol
It will pump something up right! 😉 lol
Oh definitely... not sure if I'd last until the closing note though, even as a straight man hearing Marvin Gaye singing "Lets get it on" has an affect on me lol
That scene is so fucking good.
Have an opinion?
Breathe into a paper bag, then workout, then panic a little more, then realize it's not that big of a deal and settle down.
Cool, so the hyperventilating way! lol
I do a little bit of preparation work first. For example - if I'm tired and have guests to entertain - I will force myself to do some light movements first so that I can get the adrenaline of moving around to give me strength. I don't think I slept at all last night and today I walked 10 km and some friends came over with their young children after and I was a little too tired to entertain them but I forced myself to take care of them.
How did it go? All good?
Yeah. They just left about 60 seconds ago. The child was sampling some food at our house.
Cool, good on you!
For me, there is no need, God built it into me to desire to overcome challenges, so the motivation is already there.
Surely life should involve an area of self responsibility regardless of religion, otherwise what's the point of trying to be a decent human being?
I do not recall saying I was religious.
Just that God made me in such a way that I do not need to motivate myself as I am already motivated the moment a challenge comes along.
I just took the fact you referenced a god suggests you're religious... all the same, I wish you the best.
I do believe in God, but that does not necessarily make me religious. However that aside, I wish you the same.
Listen to my go to man the fuck song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_F39uC9IlI0
I harness the power of Al Pacino.https://youtu.be/f1yWSePMqsk
Haha, that would work! lol
Have you a go to song to pump you up?
Focus on the outcome. Block everything else out.
Prep work first
Whats your prep involve?
I tell myself just do it
Remind myself go breathe and drink some tea
His son sounded so whiny.
I have a music playlist that gets me hyped up.
I never get pumped up. I just do
