Does it cover a rental car if you are in an accident? Most importantly what is your deductible before your benefits kick in? Meaning suppose you are in a car accident and you have a deductible of $1,000 and a body shop says that the damages are minor and are less than $500, then it would be best that you paid for that out of pocket instead of going through and making a claim on your insurance.
The excess is the deductible.
