Why do people ask questions if they don't want answer?

I haven't been on this app very long. I love the spirit of debates. I met my boyfriend at a philosophy course after FIERCELY arguing for an hour and then afterwards for 4 hours. He never attacked me, always went after my points, and the end he bought me flowers and I realized I had just been on a date. I don't understand, then, why people ask intentionally loaded questions that are essentially rhetorical since they know the answer and just want agreement and block you when you disagree. Just happened to me. Told me to cite my sources but immediately blocked me because like I said, she never intended to hear an opposing view. My question is to the greater psychology of such intellectual cowardice. Why do you think they do it. Why Fey who is either 18 or 25. Asking about Steve Bannon and women running society (if they behaved like you, they shouldn't run anything I hope the irony isn't lost on you). Why do it. Discuss. Disagree with me. I don't care just believe in what you say.
