Imagine that your brain still recognizes that there's something holding people together, but you can no longer see their skin. You can focus on anything that's happening within the body, if you focus on blood flow, everything related to that would be in your focus. If you focused on bone structure, that would be emphasized and almost feel highlighted because of focus. And you can do that with anything else that's internal. But you just could never see skin again.

Would you pretend as if nothing happened? Could you? Would you profit off of it? Would you flee your situation? What about a lover or a potential love! Would you still be with them? What would you do?

This would only be happening to your perception of the human race. This wouldn't be applied to any other living things.
