Why do people look at my hands when I talk?

I have found this out a long time ago.
Being on engineering my hands looked bad.
So I started wearing gloves and using hand lotion. I did a job for a woman who did nails facials. And other things. So as a thank you she gave me a facial and a manicure and pedicure.
I really enjoyed it so every other week I get the same, plus some times a massage.
But getting back to hands I have found how many people , mainly women notice them its a great ice breaker..

lol when i look at people's hands while they are talking is because it is useless, distracting and annoying, i look because it bothers me. But if you have godly beautiful hands with long fingers i would love it too.
