Lmfao, I got fucking DOMINATED by this one offensive lineman one game. In fairness, I was in my last year of football, getting older/fatter/slower lmao, and they were trying to see if I could play on the defensive line. Also in fairness, I was giving up a cool 60-80 lbs to this guy, much bigger than me. But I got sent in, there was either some confusion or the guy I was replacing refused to come out, I forget, but I ended up playing INSIDE at defensive tackle, which I have no business playing at my size, even at that time when I had more weight on me. I was supposed to play defensive end on the outside, a little less dependent on size and strength, where I might have a chance to out-finesse a guy. Nope. Just my size and brute strength against another guy’s size and brute strength, and let me tell you... he had a lot more of both than me😂 This guy must’ve played in college, he was fucking SERIOUS. And just my luck, it was all running plays, fuuuuuuccccckkkkkk my life lmfao. If you’re unfamiliar with the details of football, that basically means I’m firing out at him (but hesitantly as I don’t know if it’s a run or pass play beforehand, and he does) while he fires out at me to push me off my spot, versus a passing play, where he would be on his heels against me firing out. So basically, I might have had a shot if they were throwing, but they were running at this point in the game, so this guy had all the advantage, and he was just objectively better than I was. Mannnnnn, this dude drove me so fucking far off the line of scrimmage EVERY PLAY, like 15 yards, no joke, I almost needed to take an Uber back😂 Eventually I stopped fighting it once I realized I was overpowered, I might as well have been on roller skates out there lmao. So once I started seeing the backs of my own linebackers lmfao, I just started bailing out and falling, let him take me down. It was easier on my ego than getting driven for long distances. Thank god I never saw tape of that game, I probably would have killed myself. And what was even worse, after a couple times I started trying to joke around with the guy, like be a little self-deprecating about how mismatched we were... dead fucking silence lmao. Dude would take me for a ride, plow me into the ground in absolutely dominating fashion, then get up, no speech, no eye contact, back to the huddle, and back to silently murder me again lmfao. Intimidating as fuck, I can’t lie. After like six of those joy rides I asked the other defensive tackle who was actually a passable size to switch sides with me. I was just like “honestly, bro... this guy has just got me, I can’t hang with him.” So we swapped sides and I did a little better, haha. But I don’t think I ever played on the interior again, that’s a 300 lb man’s game😂 Never been so physically dominated in my life hahaha.

I've had a conversation with my roommate a couple of times like that... I was ready to move three or four times but I know I'm currently stuck here... At least for the time being...

Basically, it's his house therefore he makes all the rules for the house yet it's "our" house when it comes to sharing responsibilities for the property, and I'm simply renting a room. The things I do for him for the house are not considered a favor they are expected. I've been tempted to look into what a room renter is responsible for but then I could not bare arguing with him about all the luxuries he allows me to have that a simple room renter would not.

Given, he is bed ridden but in the overall grand scheme of things, he has a pretty powerful opinion for someone like that.

I want to be in a place of gratefulness for what he is offering me but sometimes my patience with him wears thin. I basically have to walk on egg shells in his house not to receive criticism. This morning he said I shut the door too loudly and that was because it would not shut properly... I honestly don't know to avoid his criticism other than to stay at my mom's as frequently and often as possible

Last night I was driving home and listening to Christmas music. Since I can remember I’ve absent passionate about become the worlds greatest husband/father (in that order). As I’m listening to this music, I fantasized about the day where I share my first Christmas with my wife and kids.


Thinking about it made me feel so much joy to the point where I wondered if a person deserved that much happiness. Being able to live that dream would be all I needed from this life. Everything after would be a bonus. Nothing else truly matters.


Then the thought hits me. “Have I ever had thoughts about this?”


No. I’ve never doubted that someday I’ll be the greatest husband/father in this world. In my gut it’s a reality I know I will someday live. I’ve had my doubts about meeting a woman who would be just as good, my equal (worlds greatest wife/mother). But it’s never been enough to make me turn my back on this dream.

Yes the has been a time when I threw the towel in. It was my last job. One of my co-workers was a narcissist. I had been there 6-7 years when he started. It came to a head after 3-4 years of his antics. My boss told me if I didn't like it He said you know where the road is. I am sure he thought I would buckle under. I walked & was working the following week.
