Facebook, twitter and youtube is enjoying but has algorythms to create Echo-chambers and is bad for society. It breeds radical thinking and scew our view of the world.
I think it might be a huge factor and reason why politics today is so divided and why radical people seem to think they have the majority of the world on their side. In reality they have blocked unwanted opinions and algorythms keep recommending content that has statisticly proven to keep you engaged. It keeps showing you progressively more radical content in your political alignment or misalignment. Negative content is also proven to get more clicks.
These apps today is competing for our attention and everyone that wishes to be succsessful has to adapt and follow the trend. The apps that manipulate our views like this has waaay too big of an affect and the power lies in corporations. Power to change nations wherever they are in use.
I think we need to go get generally informed and choose to use apps that aren't like this. The format needs to change.
They do more harm than good in the long run: from people becoming addicted to them, trying to impress people you will probably never meet for the sake of making new "friends," to people comparing themselves to others online that are supposedly perfect or look a certain way- only to make you feel worse about yourself.
It kills me when people ask me what social media site I prefer: none. You want to get to know me? Talk to me, not stalk me online and assume what I post or like is a reflection of who I really am.
I actually like tiktok. Some videos are hilarious and creative, love the music, but the comments are usually a mess. I think that's its only downfall although sometimes the comments is what makes the content better.
Probably Snapchat. It's very hard to navigate unlike Insta or Face. Second hate would be Facebook. It's so boring and nowadays only 40-something's who are usually women with the adult kids now moved out, commenting on pages and acting like trolls themselves. Facebook has become a mom's and trendy seniors hangout who all try to 'still be with it' and i cringe so hard i shatter my teeth 😑
I hate tiktock but I’m not ganna lie seeing women shake their booty is very addictive, probably the most useless is Twitter. It’s like if everyone had each other’s number and text each other is what Twitter feels like. Instagram is for people who can’t read. I’m saying all this just to make fun but the actual social media I dislike is all dating apps like badoo,
I dislike Facebook cause I hate drawing attention to myself - I think it’s immodest to use it

Snapchat Want to see the collage of twelve bong pictures I collected in two weeks? The amount of pictures of walls that say 'S rb' on them I've been sent or the dick pics nobody would ask for. Like? Why? Do? People? Take? Fifty? Pictures? Of? Their? Wall? Anyway how are you?
Snapchat always had a childish vibe for me, and Tik Tok seems to be sexualizing younger and younger age groups with their provocative dance moves, so maybe that too 🤮
