Is there a quick fix for a leaky bathtub faucet?

Anonymous
My husband and I are renters and there’s currently a drip in our bath tub faucet. I try to turn the knob as far as it will go and there’s still a drip every couple of seconds.

The constant pitter patter sound drives me insane but my husband doesn’t want to bother with getting the maintenance guy out here to fix it. He says it’s with the washer and they’ll probably have to drill holes in the wall through the bedroom and it will likely be a big project. But the sound drives me insane and it’s getting worse now. The bathroom is starting to smell of mildew from all the constant moisture. Why do men insist on neglecting shit like this?

Anyway, anyone have any ideas on the best ways to get this fixed or at least make it so water isn’t constantly dripping into the bathtub?
