Does a majority of older women stop shaving when they reach their 30s or 40s?

I don’t get around like I used to, but these are basically women of my general dating age range, and they also were fifteen years ago when we were young and cool. But it was my generation’s girls that even started whole trend of shaving their muff, it was full-fledged beaver pelts in the days before me, lmao, they just shaved their legs and armpits. So I’d say back in my days, I’d estimate 8 out of 10 girls would keep it bare, and then you’d find the odd landing strip here and there. Rocking a full bush was viewed as gross, some maybe would even consider it dirty, and that was just among the women I’d hear talking about it, not even starting with what the guys preferred. Like I remember a kid saying out loud to a bunch of us when I was hanging out after work with some coworkers, that he had hooked up with a chick a couple days before and he was horrified to find that she had a huge bush, but he smashed anyway, lmfao, and this chick I worked with who was kind of a lady-player that got around a lot herself and wasn’t shy about it just blurts out “OH MY GOD. I would NEVER have sex with you now.”, haha, like she just totally DQ’d him over it. Even dudes my age, our heyday was during the peak of the Abercrombie & Fitch era😂 so we all shaved our chest and junk at least, and some dudes even did their armpits, arms, and legs. So the beauty standard for everyone was just “body hair = bad.”

So the point is, those are the same girls today. That’s what they’re used to, that’s what we’re used to as the guys they’re most likely sleeping with. My girlfriend is going to be 37 in a couple weeks, we’ve been together since ‘07 when she was just shy of 23, she’s always kept it all off and she even had me buy her a package to get lasered a few years ago because she was sick of having to maintain it. I don’t know what the younger ladies are doing these days, I’d like to think full bush wouldn’t come back, but I also thought we eradicated the high socks look for dudes after we realized it looked terrible on the generation ahead of us back in the 80s, yet alas, they’ve returned😭, so who knows, lmao. But the nature of your question suggests that girls your age do shave to some degree at least, and then the question is if they stop after a certain age.

So I think the answer is the dreaded “depends on the individual.” I’d guess that most women in their 30s and 40s have settled on a preferred style, and if they’re sexually active, they likely reasonably keep up with it, unless their partner doesn’t really care, and that’s when we’re just talking about if chicks can be bothered to do it or not. But as far as a generational standard, I think most women in their 30s and 40s prefer to keep it minimal if they’re putting in the effort. Hell no!!! I'm shaved clean everywhere! Always will be! I'm 41, have a child and a grandchild! I'm single and have never been married. I shave for me tho, I hate hair any place but my head. Hair is prickly and you smell faster. Plus nobody wants to go down and get prickle face! I like to feel sexy and feel like I look like a Goddess! I love makeup (not too much), fake nails, lash extensions, nice clothes, the whole bit. Some people judge me and assume I'm high maintenance but I'm not anymore than any other woman. I can leave the house without makeup and feel just as good about myself. I shave almost everytime I shower tho because it's WHAT I LIKE.

This is true even though Im not 30 or 40, I don't shave. It is a idgaf type a thing since I'm a mom and in a stable relationship like at this point I have no reason to shave or even do any beauty enhancing things anymore. I imagine older women feel the same way.

I patch shave. I only shave parts that will be visible depending on what I’m wearing. I honestly can’t be ask to shave for no reason. I think once women get into relationships that we are honestly comfortable and feel safe and secure in, we tend to know if our men will care if we shave or not.

I work at a beauty salon and 75% of the clients who get waxed down there are over 35 . It's a small sample size but..
