What if you hit a car in a parking lot, but nobody saw you do it?

No kidding. This truly happened:
"Hi Dee! You don't know me but I know you. I've been following you. I got upset when I saw you out with your boyfriend. So, I rammed his bike with my car. Next time, I'll do worse. ~ The one who loves you."

This happened in '15 when I was still living in the Philippines. The note is actually in Tagalog (the main language in the Philippines). The stupid guy must've done it by impulse after his jealousy raged inside him while he was stalking. He didn't pay attention to his surroundings. There were security cameras that captured his heinous crime from various points of view. Nearly 2 years later, we found out who he is and where he lived. My boyfriend tracked him down and ambushed him in a secluded provincial highway and served his own kind of justice to the perv who was a classmate of mine when we were getting our Masters degree.

Here is a note I found under the windshield wiper one day. I backed into your car. There are people watching me write this note & they must think I am leaving my contact info. sorry about your car. Have a nice day.
I would leave some contact information if I couldn't find the owner.

The second one. Actually once as a kid, I was riding my bike in the apartment parking lot, and I hit my neighbor's car and her bumper fell off. I got the hell out of there and no one ever said anything so I guess no one saw.

I wouldn't leave insurance information but I would have contact details like my phone number. That way I can offer to pay for the damages and avoid a costly insurance claim.

There's always the possibility of security cameras, and if you leave it becomes a hit and run, which is a legit crime. it's not worth going to jail over
