In MY belief system, Sentience has 3rd phases (so far)
in the first, it is your purpose to disclose and integrate as much naturally-evident 'divinely'-mandated behaviors and relationships (contextual insight) THESE ARE the Creator's humanly UNABRIDGED expressed design.

In the second aspect, Sentience moves into a life of service... taking... and communicating meaningfully that which YOU have experienced to Those willing to integrate your 'wisdom' and to APPLY your 'wisdom' in a timely fashion to the betterment of Those around you.

Oddly, the 'secret' is found in plain christian doctrine... their 'bible' hubristically espouses humans are created in the "image and 'like'-ness of God". In OUR perception of 'reality' we can 'conceive' of an idea or invention BUT... (for most) we can only physically assemble or manufacture tangible created items from pre-existing elements.

Written prophecies claim "in the beginning" the Deity 'created' by sheer Will and visualization ALONE. Divine 'fiat'. (Let there BE...)

Taking our cue, IF we ARE made in the 'like'ness of the Procreator... where is THE ONLY experience wherein we populate ENTIRE subjective realities FROM NOTHING?
In our subconscious imaginative 'day dreams'! Where do those independently animate characters GO when our attentions are required ELSEWHERE? Is THEIR existance PAUSED? Or ceased?

There is NO objective reality; only a SHARED subjective perception of 'reality'.

For example: YOU & I may perceive some item as the color 'red' BUT... in truth, NEITHER You nor I know with absolute certainty WHAT the other sees! In debate, this is called a 'given' postulate. We 'agree' to term that item to BE 'red''.

THIS leads to an 'interesting' piece of inductive reasoning. HYPOTHETICALLY ALL perceivable 'creation' is ENDO-stential, as if "we" exist in the Creator's imagination, similar to a day dream; not unlike life in a vast terrarium. And 'we' have insufficient data to speculate beyond.

We HAVE accepted Einstein's postulate that "Energy and Matter CANNOT be destroyed but ARE interchangeable" building upon THAT being 'true', in the last century, some radical scientists espoused at the moment when humans pass, the body loses 4 oz. of physical mass (presumably converted to radiant, possibly SENTIENT cogent energy. the individual conscious Sentience (Soul)

And that, brings us to that THIRD phase of Consciousness. Anecdotally the Himalayan Buddhists who affirm 'past life recollection' testing have found that in at least SOME instances, they elect their NEXT Dali Llama based upon the suspect child's recollection of certain previous live's possessions and intimate queries which speculatively affirms reincarnational 'transmigration of the (soul) Consciousness'.

Curiously, the U. S. government allocated SERIOUS funding from 1945 through 1995 with the Stanford Research Institute culminating in the remote viewing 'Project Stargate' and the 'First Earth Battalion' for psychic espionage to counter the Soviet's commandeered Nazi occult Thule research of WWII. I suggest you read 'Real Magic' by the late Phillip Edward Isaac Bonewitts (try the exercises therein!)

To prepare us for our next go around after we die!
You see its my belief that when we die if we didn't complete what it was that we were put on this earth for.. the universe "God" puts us back out there as someone else. If you pay attention to it. You will see it too. Watch a baby for example turn into an adolescent (i see it with my boy) he had a purpose as a baby all the way up until 2nd grade id say it was. I was so kind, helpful and smart! Now that he is 9 he has lost that drive and motivation now life is just what it is for him. I realize some kids do continue on the upward climb always seeming to kniw where they are going, not yet knowing what that would be. But my kid at 9 he has no direction no intent to go anywhere, especially not school.
He list his way already at 9. Its going to be a tough life for him, not knowing what he was put here to accomplish. But this is my 12 th go at it myself. I just hope I get it right this time!

That's for you to discover. If there is one I've taken notice to it's that we all have a role to play, however small. I can't say what the endgame is, if there even is one, but I just keep moving forward trying to make the best of what I got.

It's relative I suppose. Life as a biologic entity-to survive and reproduce. Life as in a conscious entity-to experience consciousness. Much like a flame's purpose is to burn until it can no longer.
